Education... Make it a Right!

   Pantoja, Julia." Children attend school near Manaus " 2008      In our class 'SDGs and you' which teaches about various goals set out to help guide humanity to a better future. We have been learning about Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs. This course taught us about a way in which our needs can be organized by how immediately vital they are to a person starting with physiological needs such as food and water and ending with find self-actualization and a sense of realization of your potentials as a person. In addition to this, we learned about the importance of foreign aid which includes what foreign aid is and the different ways its provided such as developmental aid and humanitarian aid which differ by the nature and scale of the issues they tackle. While humanitarian aid helps tackle things like providing education to deprived peoples or helping during emergencies, whereas developmental aid is geared towards building infrastructure.        Today is Thursday, September 2, 2021.  Our cohort is currently working on re-organizing the room however we please, so we got the opportunity to change different classroom features that we find uncomfortable, or that we think are kind of a hindrance to our learning.  Together we decided that since our room is already divided by the large pushable door that it would be easier to use each separately.  'The Cooler' would be used as the place where we could some writing since it had chairs and tables which could be used when the journalism and stories classes take place here later this month, meanwhile the 'Screening Room' would be more for discussions since any changes we could make were limited due to the elevation of the stadium seating. Later we decided that we could also use a whiteboard since we learned that our monitor setup was to be used elsewhere, additionally, we found that we could take back the old projector that was taken down in preparation for the mov
